i deserve respect
i’ve earned my respect
iron fists and jeweled rings
sharp voice it stings
just a glorified secretary pulling the strings
and it was such a little thing
but you cut so deep
when it had the weight of uncomfort behind it
you made me feel bad
dirty
worthless
like i deserve only vulgarities
“keep your skin thick”
god that’s such bullshit
if it hurts it hurts, don’t just get used to it
thats scarred skin, still kept thin
you put a scar on mine.

four that struck like whiplash
one sentence that stung.
my chest burns, i want to cry.
